The Kinston Disc Kings Hosted
Our First Ice Bowl
January 22, 2006 to
Raise Money for ICOR
The weather was chilly and damp, but not enough to dampen our fun. A total of 30 players competed in two divisions to raise money for ICOR. This was our first Ice Bowl and it was a great success. See our results below for the details.
From Inez Dale, Director, ICOR...
"I want to THANK, again, all the participants in the 1st Annual Kinston Ice Bowl (1/22/2006) for your grand support of Kinston InterChurchOutReach (ICOR). Your tournament raised $523.57, which includes your donation of the proceeds from the water sales. That may not seem like much to you, but ICOR can help at least 5 more families in monetary crisis through your help. The cereal and canned goods you brought have already been given to the 4 families without food that arrived at our door this week. With your generosity we can continue to serve those with a sudden loss of income, the elderly and suddenly ill with medications, and the working "poor" whose pay doesn't always reach around rent or utility expenses. I, as Director, had such a great time watching the skill of your Golfers that I was energized for the rest of the week. Your have a great, challenging course that is also a beautiful setting to walk through. I thank you with all my heart for your generosity on behalf of the volunteers and clients at ICOR. God Bless you all. Inez Dale, Director, Kinston ICOR, P.O. Box 2483, Kinston, NC 28502 PH: (252) 522-4357 Hours: Mon - Thurs 1Pm - 4Pm"
What is ICOR?
ICOR is Kinston InterChurchOutReach, a local non-profit that helps people in our community find the resources they need when they need help the most. It's an impressive organization, and we're really excited to be associated with them this year.
